Our last sunset in Florida didn't disappoint.  Honestly, it wasn't an emotional farewell though.  I always felt like our time in Florida was fleeting. As a family, we transitioned the kids in and out of the house over summers, and in and out again. In two short years we transitioned through different schools and jobs and friends. These last two years especially, I felt like a transient. Never quite settled.  Now, it's time to settle. I'd like to plant some roots, even if they aren't deep and forever at our next assignment. Like us, they just need to be strong for the season.  Eglin AFB, Florida  1 June 2023  

It started with queso flameado but the rest of the weekend was all Parker and Reese! 

A day on a boat, an impromptu dolphin show and a Camp Pinchot sighting. We didn't exactly plan it that way, but that's how our last Florida Saturday happened. Turned out those were three of our favorite things about living here. It turned out to be a perfect Florida send-off.  She looked a little lonely, but the memories made us all smile   

Been a little busy over here in the Florida Panhandle.
