Henry's first college application is submitted!  Applying to colleges during a pandemic is  a different process for sure..the only college visits he got in before Covid were to schools that he's decided not to apply to. I suppose knowing where you don't want to go is just as important as where you do though. Hopefully, Hen will be able to visit a couple of his choices before he makes a final decision but who knows. Regardless, in true Henry style, he's staying the course and taking everything as it comes.  I can't wait to see where the kid lands!

Today Vivian finished her first semester of math through Florida Virtual School and we celebrated!! It hasn't been easy (for any of us) but it's been good and most important, it's been totally worth it! I'm so proud of Viv...so doesn't complain, she doesn't feel sorry for herself. She just works. This girl gets it done! She's still got Science, ELA and Civics to complete this semester but those should be done in the next few weeks and then we R-E-L-A-X. Welcome to homeschool, my girl! Submitting her very last exam of the semester... 98 for the semester!! For Viv, there's no better celebration than Starbucks!

Last weekend felt this close to normal. We saw a few friends, walked around 30A and all went to pick pumpkins. Maxwell even got out and took a hike in the PA wilderness. Almost normal felt pretty good! Seaside, Florida Maxwell's sunrise hike  Lycoming County, PA Sweet Seasons  Milton, Florida

The Pinchot bear strikes again... and doesn't clean up after himself...

After the hurricane I sent Henry to Ace Hardware to buy work gloves so we could start cleaning the backyard...it apparently changed his life... Henry: Momma! I get it! I totally get Ace Hardware!  I just wondered around there for an hour and they have everything! I didn't even know what any of that stuff was! I almost bought a $36.00 rake for no reason! It was just a super cool looking rake! I totally get it!! 

Found a castaway island yesterday.  The water was still dark and murky from the hurricane so we had the place to ourselves. Yup. That's a mailbox in the background.  A mailbox and a suitcase and lots of other smaller (less weird) things were washed ashore And only in Florida... Filed under "I can't make this stuff up"
