The Clog

That's right...The Clog. The Clovid Blog.

Where do I even start??

It seems like it's been months since Henry's birthday but really it's just been 16 days. The day before Henry's birthday Matt and I were in Montgomery for a retirement ceremony that Matt officiated. It was the retirement of our old neighbor in Prattville which meant we got to see some of the old St. Andrews Court crew. It was great to see them!

We knew the week before this that things were starting to go south, but honestly, I had no idea how quickly everything would happen.

The day before the retirement ceremony Maxwell played his last lacrosse game in Virginia Beach. The team pretty much knew that it would be their last game together because so many programs and colleges had already started to shut the seasons and semesters down. By Thursday we had a ticket for Maxwell to come home and by Friday, Henry's birthday, he was back at Camp Pinchot ready to start what we though would just be an extended spring break.
I was still thinking at that point that Maxwell would go back to school the following Sunday and that Henry and Vivian might get an extra week of spring break. Clearly, I was wrong. Lycoming called the semester two days after Maxwell got home. He ended up flying back to Williamsport to pack out his dorm room and then drove back home after that. By the time he got back here, Florida had made the decision to go to virtual learning until April 15th. That's where we're still at now, although everyone fully expects that Florida schools won't go back at all; they'll more than likely continue virtual learning for the rest of the semester.

So for the last 10 days we've all been home together. Rearranging the house and figuring out the sleeping arrangments. Matt's been working 16 and 17 hour days but finally got a bit of a break today. We were able to all take a drive and do a little swimming with the kids.

Who knows what the next few days, weeks and months hold but we'll take everything as it comes. We're together under one roof (well two if you count the Hen House and the main house but still) and we're all healthy. Under the circumstances, there's not much more to ask for.
Watch out for this girl...she's getting good

Pickle ball is going to end in a physical altercation one of these days I'm sure...

Maybe my best purchase ever even though I had no idea what owning a Seadoo entailed...
and probably still don't but I'm figuring it out as we go

Who knew they were so in to long-boarding?!

Might as well start running again now that there's nothing but time...
Nothing to see here...
It was a good day when we successfully backed the
Jeep and trailer up to put the Seadoo into the water.
Terrifying but good!
The Seadoo being my best purchase ever was a lie.
This rower is.
Backyard baseball
Sideyard baseball
Will work for tips...

There's more to come, I'm sure, but until then, stay healthy, stay home and don't forget to wash your hands!!
