Happy Easter 2020

It wasn't our typical Easter Sunday, that's for sure. We just finished week 4 of self-isolation, week 2 of online school and work, and we don't have an end in sight, but still, He has risen!

He has risen indeed!
Viv made this beautiful chocolate chip vanilla cake completely from scratch!
Frosting and all!
Even the Easter bunny believes in face masks for all...

Off to the egg hunt races...






 And a funny thing...
...yesterday the Easter Bunny made an early delivery...
Matt and I have said a hard "no way" to a trampoline for almost 20 years of parenthood...
...until now...
...thanks a lot Covid...

Florida Farewell

Our last sunset in Florida didn't disappoint.  Honestly, it wasn't an emotional farewell though.  I always felt like our time in Florida was fleeting. As a family, we transitioned the kids in and out of the house over summers, and in and out again. In two short years we transitioned through different schools and jobs and friends. These last two years especially, I felt like a transient. Never quite settled.  Now, it's time to settle. I'd like to plant some roots, even if they aren't deep and forever at our next assignment. Like us, they just need to be strong for the season.  Eglin AFB, Florida  1 June 2023
