Our girl is a teenager!!

Thanks to Covid, Viv's big 13th birthday didn't look like what she thought it would, but she still declared it her best birthday ever. She's such a trooper...she's taken this hand that we've been dealt and has just rolled with it. She's definitely not your typical 13 year old girl...she marches to the beat of her drummer, is one of the most polite young ladies I know and has a tender heart that is beyond her years.


Happy, happy birthday sweet girl. 
You are so loved!

Florida Farewell

Our last sunset in Florida didn't disappoint.  Honestly, it wasn't an emotional farewell though.  I always felt like our time in Florida was fleeting. As a family, we transitioned the kids in and out of the house over summers, and in and out again. In two short years we transitioned through different schools and jobs and friends. These last two years especially, I felt like a transient. Never quite settled.  Now, it's time to settle. I'd like to plant some roots, even if they aren't deep and forever at our next assignment. Like us, they just need to be strong for the season.  Eglin AFB, Florida  1 June 2023
