Twenty-one years old!! Moose is legal! Because of Covid his semester was extended about a week, so that meant he got to spend his birthday in Willpo. By the look of the pictures and the stories, he and his buddies will be laughing about this night for years!! 

Happy birthday, Maxwell!! I can't wait for you to be home so we can all celebrate in person!

Florida Farewell

Our last sunset in Florida didn't disappoint.  Honestly, it wasn't an emotional farewell though.  I always felt like our time in Florida was fleeting. As a family, we transitioned the kids in and out of the house over summers, and in and out again. In two short years we transitioned through different schools and jobs and friends. These last two years especially, I felt like a transient. Never quite settled.  Now, it's time to settle. I'd like to plant some roots, even if they aren't deep and forever at our next assignment. Like us, they just need to be strong for the season.  Eglin AFB, Florida  1 June 2023
