When Vivian was little I used to describe her as "just happy to be alive". She was always being toted from one of the boys' activities to another. She napped in the car and tagged along to playdates, always seeming to be the younger one or the only girl. But she never complained. She was just "happy to be alive".

Fourteen years later and she's still happy to be alive. Vivian is by far the most empathetic and genuinely kind young person that I know. When she's happy, she's so happy and when she's sad, she feels it deep in her soul. She wants everyone around her to feel included and and loved. She'll always ask you how your day is going and she truly wants to know the answer. She is the first with a "please" and a "thank you" and the door is never closed and the phone is never hung up without her saying "I love you".

Viv's not perfect, but gosh, she's full to the brim of goodness.
