Her Best Life

Viv is totally and completely living her best life! Within the last ten days she's had her 8th grade adventure day to Topsail, was the Virgin Mary in Living Stations, swam strong in her second swim meet of the season, and finished out her lacrosse season was a solid W. All in ten days work!

Florida Farewell

Our last sunset in Florida didn't disappoint.  Honestly, it wasn't an emotional farewell though.  I always felt like our time in Florida was fleeting. As a family, we transitioned the kids in and out of the house over summers, and in and out again. In two short years we transitioned through different schools and jobs and friends. These last two years especially, I felt like a transient. Never quite settled.  Now, it's time to settle. I'd like to plant some roots, even if they aren't deep and forever at our next assignment. Like us, they just need to be strong for the season.  Eglin AFB, Florida  1 June 2023
