The Long Trail

273 miles from end to end. It's not my story to tell because I'm not there, but I least I have some pictures to share.  I hope when they get back one of them, or Matt, will do a "Blog Takeover" and tell all of their stories here. Until then...

10 June they split up and Matt headed home the next day...

Florida Farewell

Our last sunset in Florida didn't disappoint.  Honestly, it wasn't an emotional farewell though.  I always felt like our time in Florida was fleeting. As a family, we transitioned the kids in and out of the house over summers, and in and out again. In two short years we transitioned through different schools and jobs and friends. These last two years especially, I felt like a transient. Never quite settled.  Now, it's time to settle. I'd like to plant some roots, even if they aren't deep and forever at our next assignment. Like us, they just need to be strong for the season.  Eglin AFB, Florida  1 June 2023
