Treasure Nugget

I found this treasure nugget in my glove compartment yesterday. I had never seen it before, but Viv says she made it when we were stationed at Buckley, so probably 2017. Now that I know it's there, I know where to go when I'm feeling down.

Florida Farewell

Our last sunset in Florida didn't disappoint.  Honestly, it wasn't an emotional farewell though.  I always felt like our time in Florida was fleeting. As a family, we transitioned the kids in and out of the house over summers, and in and out again. In two short years we transitioned through different schools and jobs and friends. These last two years especially, I felt like a transient. Never quite settled.  Now, it's time to settle. I'd like to plant some roots, even if they aren't deep and forever at our next assignment. Like us, they just need to be strong for the season.  Eglin AFB, Florida  1 June 2023
