SAM Parent's Weekend

We were able to make one more trip to Tuscaloosa before the move. It was a fabulous Parent's Weekend with the Sammy boys and their families! Roll Tide!

Matt and I went to a bar after dinner 
and my watch warned me that the noise level was too high. 
Nothing like being reminded you're too old for college bars by your watch!

Florida Farewell

Our last sunset in Florida didn't disappoint.  Honestly, it wasn't an emotional farewell though.  I always felt like our time in Florida was fleeting. As a family, we transitioned the kids in and out of the house over summers, and in and out again. In two short years we transitioned through different schools and jobs and friends. These last two years especially, I felt like a transient. Never quite settled.  Now, it's time to settle. I'd like to plant some roots, even if they aren't deep and forever at our next assignment. Like us, they just need to be strong for the season.  Eglin AFB, Florida  1 June 2023
