Texas Road Trip 2021

Image
By the number of pictures I have you'd never know that Viv and I were in Texas for an entire week! We did more than celebrate Parker and her first birthday and Shane and his arrival into the family but....wait...did we do more than that?! Regardless, even if we just spent this one day in San Antonio, it would've been worth it. Nothing compares to being with family! I just don't know that I could love her anymore than I already do!  Parker is PURE JOY!  Great graham cracker (as Jen used to call her) and Baby Shane  "Little peanut in a family full of nuts"... ain't that the truth buddy...welcome to the fam!

From Honolulu, Hawaii to Fort Walton Beach, Florida and everywhere in between...this is 18. We love you Henry. We love you more than you know and could not be more proud of the young man you have become.  You're finding yourself a little more and more everyday, my sweet boy, and your journey is going to be something special.

I know that this year has been difficult in a different way for everyone. For every family. For my family this year was tied to a hospital and a military community. Every decision that we've made, every positive case, every death. Everything that Matt and the kids and I have known about has been through the up-close lens of hands-on work. Seven days a week, 24 hours a day.  Since day one Matt has sent out an email message to the Medical Group at Eglin. To the active-duty members, the civilians, the contractors, to me, to everyone. It started as "The Covid Response, Day 1". At first the emails were very data-driven. Somewhere around day 98 the title of them ch
